
Michael Wagstaff
Director
Michael has over 15 years research experience and has worked extensively with central government departments, local authorities, executive agencies, utilities, housing associations and regulatory bodies. He is particularly experienced in undertaking qualitative research. A recent example includes a study for the Department of Communities and Local Government involving deliberative workshops with home owners in low demand areas to assess the impact of home information packs on the home buying and selling process. Before joining YouGov, Michael was a director in the public sector team at IFF Research and prior to that ran his own social research consultancy. Michael has a PhD in urban regeneration.

Gavin Ellison
Director
Gavin has an extensive track record of research and consultancy assignments in the fields of customer insight, performance management, procurement, project / programme management and policy evaluation. Passionate about improving public service delivery, Gavin believes that research can directly bring about change. Prior to joining YouGov, Gavin was at consulting firm PKF where he helped establish the Gambling Commission and worked at the Home Office and DCLG. He has a degree in Government from the London School of Economics and is an independent committee member for East Thames Housing Group.

Briony Gunstone
Research Manager
Briony joined YouGov in 2004 and is responsible for key account management and project management. Briony began her career at Retail Marketing Services, working on large projects for FMCG clients. Since joining YouGov, she has worked for a wide range of clients, in areas including consumer, B2B, public sector, financial and media. Briony graduated from Cardiff University with a BA (Hons) in Ancient History. Briony is an Associate Member of the MRS and has passed the MRS Advanced Certificate.
