YouGov helps organisations lead public policy debates and drive the news agenda. Our research enables clients in the public and third sectors to develop and refine policies from a sound base of evidence.

Furthermore we understand how the evaluation of policies, projects and programmes can drive process improvement and the lessons learned from assessing the impact of policy changes are crucial for future policy development.

Development

YouGov provides evidence for policy makers at the strategic and formulation stages as they explore the issues, needs and wants of their stakeholders. Policy making should be based on evidence; but also innovative, creative and forward thinking. Engaging with the public is vital. With access to sub-groups within the YouGov Panel, we are able to reach significant numbers of tightly defined sections of the community.

Recent examples of policy research saw us engage with:

  • Temporary / agency workers on their employment rights and conditions
  • Ethnic minority football supporters about experiences on the terraces
  • Parents of under 5s on parental support needs
  • 18-24 year olds living in private rented accommodation on home buying aspirations
  • Managers responsible for recruiting school or college leavers to explore their skills priorities
